The Museum of Latin American Art is honored to present the exhibition Fernando Botero: The Master, as part of the celebration of his more than uninterrupted 60 years as a unique creator and fundamental figure of the XX Century, pioneer of figurative art through his incomparable approach to the exaltation of form, volume, and beauty.
MOLAA is generously supported, in part, by the Robert Gumbiner Foundation and by a grant from the Arts Council for Long Beach and the City of Long Beach. And by MOLAA Members whose annual support expand knowledge and appreciation of modern and contemporary Latin American and Latino art.
Coordinated by the MOLAA Education Department, this space presents a series of exhibitions and events, organized with the help of community members, that provide local artists and emerging curators—of all ages—a place for practice and inspiration, as well as the opportunity to explore museum careers through hands-on experiences.
